Lake of the Hanging Glacier July 15, 2026

Road is rough as usual, high clearance 4×4 recommended. Trail has seen extensive avalanche damage and the crew was only able to start the process of clearing the trail.  The trail will require considerable effort and time to complete until the damage is cleared....

Road is in good condition.  Last 2 km are rougher as usual. Some clearing was performed up both switchback directions.

Assiniboine Lake July 9, 2026

Upper trail brushed and deadfall cleared.  Trail is in good shape aside from some typical wet spots. Road is in good condition but the last two bridges after the turn before the Baymag mine are now zero weight rated, proceed at your own risk.
